Barbering

This programme is aimed at adults over 19-years-old who have previously completed Level 2 Barbering or have experience working in the industry and wish to update their skills and further their career.

The Level 3 Barbering Award in Provide Shaving Services is designed to develop the skills required to provide shaving services at an advanced level. The Level 3 Awards are nationally recognised qualifications, which provide a detailed understanding of the industry and cover a range of knowledge.

You will learn to shave using a cut throat razor, you will use different techniques and learn about products needed.

You will learn through a combination of group discussions, live demonstrations and practical assignments, working on headblocks and peers in our fully equipped working salons. You will work with industry standard product lines and will gain a real-world learning experience through carrying out services on your own clients.

Your progress will be fully supported and tracked by our highly experienced tutors who have worked as industry professionals themselves. You will benefit from their vast experience in their area of expertise and their understanding of the industry.

Level 3 Barbering Award in Provide Shaving Services

You could progress on to;

• further training in a related subject, such as, Award in Creatively Cut Mens Hair,
• a Level 3 qualification in Hairdressing,
• or employment as a barber in a variety of settings, including salons, cruise liners or freelance working.

You will be assessed on an ongoing basis in a variety of ways, including observation, practical skills assessment, oral questioning of knowledge and online multiple-choice tests.

You should have a Level 2 Barbering qualification or industry experience at an equivalent level.
