Matthew Sharpe joined Buxton & Leek College to do a BTEC National Diploma in Art & Design. He is now embarking on a degree in Illustration and Graphic Design at Liverpool John Moores University and he hopes this will help him realise his dream of a career as a professional illustrator.
Matthew said: “You are treated differently to the way you are in school. College life had a totally different, laid back feel and it suited me well. In fact, the course really opened my eyes to the different paths you can take. We went on visits to galleries, museums and universities to see for ourselves what was on offer.”
