Level 3 Art & Design student Malik Grey has secured a place at the University of Derby to study BA (Hons) Photography.
He said: “I am so pleased to have gained my place at the University of Derby to study on the BA (Hons) Photography degree in September 2019. This has been my goal for the last three years. Now I finally have this opportunity. Coming to Leek School of Art has been the best thing that has ever happened to me. Great lecturers, Great staff and great facilities. I have always felt that the members of staff believe in me at Leek School of Art and the tutors truly aim to help students.”
Malik’s Progress Coach, Alice Painter said: “I have worked closely with Malik and supported him through the year. Malik has overcome adversity in his personal life and education but has never given up on his dream of going to the University of Derby. I am really proud of Malik and what he has achieved whilst he has been here at Buxton and Leek College. I wish him the best of luck in pursuing his ambitions to become a photographer in the future!”
