From 1 April 2021, updates to the reservation of funds for employers who do not pay the Apprenticeship Levy will enable employers to recruit additional apprentices and provide them with greater flexibility and reassurance when planning their apprenticeship programmes.
This will enable employers to make up to 10 new reservations to fund new apprenticeship starts in the financial year 2021-22 and funds can be reserved up to 6 months in advance.
In addition to the changes the apprenticeship incentive, announced by the Chancellor of the Exchequer as part of the covid recovery package, will be increased for new apprentice starts from 1st April 2021. This incentive is claimed for via the Digital Account Service (DAS). If you have not used this service before we have created a handy guide https://sway.office.com/XVllfqfQLGLMppPC?ref=Link
