Are you nearing the end of school but can’t make up your mind which course to study at College? Buxton & Leek College has the answer with a range of taster sessions available for students to try before they apply!
Campuses in both towns are offering free taster sessions for students in Years 10 & 11 during half term week. Whether you want to do performing arts or are considering a career in catering, there’s a chance to spend a morning or afternoon in college, meet the tutors, tour the facilities and actually try out the course on offer.
Recruitment Officer Louise Fletcher said:
“This is a fantastic opportunity for young people to sample a ‘taste’ of a course area that they have a genuine interest in, as well as experiencing how different college life is from being at school. Students can book on to a morning and afternoon session to help them make an informed decision about their future career pathway.”
The Tasters Day is on Wednesday 21 February and includes sessions in the following courses: motoring, media, sport & public services, travel, performing & visual arts, business, engineering, carpentry, health & social care, hair & beauty, hospitality & catering among other subjects.
