This year Red Nose Day was supported by the staff and students of Buxton & Leek College over two fun-filled days (Wednesday 15th and Thursday 16th March), as they welcomed clients to their Salon Inspire to experience a range of mini hair & beauty treatments.
A spokesperson for BLC said: “Comic Relief is a great cause, and we’re proud of how hard our students have worked to fundraise, as well as create a relaxing and enjoyable experience for the clients we’ve welcomed over the last two days.”
For a cash donation BLC’s Hair & Beauty students offered both walk-ins and pre-booked clients a range of mini treatments including hair wash and blow dries, styling treatments, mini manicures, and tinsel and feathers.
But for those not interested in being pampered there were still plenty of ways to for them to get involved with the fun, as the Salon also hosted a bake sale, crazy hair competition, and a ‘Guess the Teddy’ game.
All of the money raised through the College’s Red Nose Day activities has gone directly to Comic Relief to help in their fight against global poverty.
