SANTA’S helpers in the Buxton area are being invited to take a break from their Christmas shopping and treat themselves to a blissful evening of pampering courtesy of Buxton & Leek College.
Thursday December 1 will see Level 3 Beauty therapists from the College offering mulled wine, mince pies and a menu of pampering treats all for just £5 in aid of two charitable causes. Running from 3pm until 7pm, `Pamper YourELVES’ is being run to help The Rainbow Children’s Trust and Help for Heroes, both causes close to students’ hearts.
Mini treatments on offer to relieve yuletide stress include back massages, foot and leg, hand or scalp massages as well as a nail file and polish or facial. There will also be a prize raffle and the opportunity to source that perfect present for your Christmas stockings.
Amanda Garrington, Operations Co-ordinator for Hair and Beauty at The Dome, said: “This event is totally student led from the planning and preparing up to the implementing by delivering treatments on the night. They will be serving wellness cocktails alongside the festive mulled wine and mince pies and there will be a chance to peruse a great range of beauty oriented stocking fillers with discounts available on purchases of Mac makeup and Orly nail polishes. We hoping our clients past, present and future will turn out and support us.”
Level 3 Beauty student Michelle Presland said: “The Rainbow Trust provides great support to families with children who have a live threatening or terminal illness and who struggle to cope on a daily basis. Help for Heroes provides direct, practical support for wounded, injured and sick veterans and servicemen and women. We hope to raise as much as we can for both these worthwhile causes and thought that the run up to Christmas would be a great time to do it.”
Places will be limited so all treatments should be pre-booked by calling Hair and Beauty at the Dome on 01298 330334.
