Don’t get frightened thinking about your next steps, Buxton & Leek College is here to help!

It may be the Halloween season, but there’s no need to get spooked thinking about your education as it’s no tricks all treats at BLC.

At Buxton & Leek College we are here to take the fear out of those next steps. Our staff are an absolute scream, and prospective students and their parents can ask all the questions they need at our next open event on Saturday 5th October 2024 from 10am – 1pm.

Jenn Aspinall, Student Recruitment Team Leader, says your future doesn’t need to be as scary as it seems:  “At BLC we’re invested in supporting our students from the moment they step through the door, and our events are the perfect opportunity to get to know the tutors, College, and have reassuring conversations about next steps.”

Our Saturday events are extra special as they give you plenty of time for a witch’s brew and a chat before exploring the campuses and facilities.

If a more hands-on approach is for you, then an apprenticeship may be the option to keep the nightmares at bay as you think about your future. Speak to members of the College’s Apprenticeship team about kickstarting you career whilst earning a wage, there are routes available in a wide range of subject areas, so from Carpentry to Culinary BLC can help you to build a career in an industry you have a real passion for.

BLC understands how difficult it can be to juggle work and family life, so many of our part-time courses can be studied online whilst your little monsters are in bed. There is something for everyone whatever your age or ability for adults looking to pursue new passions, or programmes to aid career progression. As well as the face-to-face, on campus learning, students can also benefit from part time, online, and on demand learning – all with access to the College’s passionate, dedicated, and supportive teaching staff, so there’s no need to get into a cold sweat over logistics.

If you’re scared of the dark, then BLC is here to turn on the light! Alongside information about the variety of apprenticeships, full-time and part-time study programmes, attendees can also discuss finance options and travel arrangements with Buxton & Leek College’s friendly Progress Coaches.
