Level 3 Beauty students from Buxton & Leek college provided mini pamper treatments on Thursday 20 October for Health & Safety Laboratory employees as part of their Health & Wellbeing Week at Harpur Hill Buxton. The event organised by Karen Wilkinson was very well attended and staff enjoyed a choice of a back massage, hand & arm massage or file & varnish for polished to perfection nails.
One member of staff said ‘I really enjoyed the hand massage and nails, consider my wellbeing improved!’ and students were credited on their professionalism which enabled everyone who took part to walk away with a huge smile on their face.
The students really enjoyed servicing the event and chatting to staff, and they were a credit to the college. It also gave employees vital relaxation time and network opportunities. The event was so popular that Karen Wilkinson aims to repeat it in the near future (if not monthly).
The Salons at both Buxton & Leek college are open throughout the week. Both salons are serviced by students on programme offering a variety of treatments at greatly subsidised prices. In addition to this we also offer a full commercial hair & beauty service provided by our fully qualified graduate team that operate throughout the holiday period and every Saturday.
