Summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic apprentice wanting to gain industry experience and develop technical cooking skills in an exciting, fast-paced and hands-on kitchen. There will be the opportunity to contribute to high-quality food production in a values-led team environment.
Annual salary £11,778 – £15,704 (depending on total hours worked)
30 – 40 hours per week on a rota basis, working time will include time for off-site/college training.

Work
Your work will include all aspects of working in a busy kitchen including;
- Assist with daily food preparation
- Cooking across various stations
- Support with portion control, food storage and kitchen hygiene procedures
- Learn and follow recipes
- Stock rotation
- Allergen control systems

Training
An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation. At least 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying.

Your training plan
You will attend the Buxton Campus (college transport is available), spending time in the college training kitchens.
You will also be regularly visited in the workplace by a college instructor-mentor. They will complete observations, have professional discussions, and mentor you throughout your apprenticeship.
