Within our Buxton Campus tour, look out for Buxton Football Club (Football Academy), Oaklands Manor (Adventurous Activities) and our Harpur Hill Motor Vehicle Workshop. These are all in Buxton, but not at our Devonshire Dome campus.
Public Consultation regarding Leek Campus – April 2025.
Your experience and achievement as a student at Buxton & Leek College are very important to us, so we wanted to advise you of conversations that have been taking place with Newcastle & Stafford Colleges Group (NSCG) about the future ownership of our Leek Campus. At the heart of these discussions is a commitment to ensure that you continue to benefit from a high-quality education and further opportunities.
We have reached a provisional agreement which would potentially see us transfer ownership of Leek to NSCG on 1 August 2025. Ahead of this, a public consultation is due to commence today (Monday 7 April) until 28 April.
We assure you that you will be supported throughout any changes during this time and that your education is in safe hands. Both NSCG and the University of Derby recognise the importance of maintaining a high-quality further education presence in Leek and Buxton and believe that the transfer of ownership of Leek will bring valuable benefits to students across both campuses.
Your experience as one of our students is of paramount importance. We will ensure that throughout any changes, you will be supported and your education will not be impacted.
